When You Think of Iran

Think of Mohammed, a reformist protester who called into CNN’s morning show today and had the following quote to say (among others). You can read the whole transcript HERE, including the part where he pleads for the US to get involved.

Let me tell you something. For about three decades our nation has been humiliated and insulted by this regime. Now Iranians are united again one more time after 1979 Revolution. We are a peaceful nation. We don’t hate anybody. We want to be an active member of the international community. We don’t want to be isolated… We don’t deny the Holocaust. We do accept Israel’s rights. And actually, we want — we want severe reform on this structure. This structure is not going to be tolerated by the majority of Iranians. We need severe reform, as much as possible.

Good stuff…makes me hopeful, in midst of the chaos.

What’s with your obsession with the middle east drama. You should post something cool and witty. Or humorous. Stuff that will get the comments flowing. Otherwise your clients may pull their advertising. Then you’ll have to rely on your church salary, and you’ll be broke, and probably walk away from your house (seems to be a popular trend in your hood). And as much as I love the Asolas family, if I can prevent one more foreclosure in the east valley, I’m doing my part. So… To get your ratings up, may I suggest blogs on the following:

Celebrity Foreclosures

Anything relating to christian music and worship was always a hit on rethynk.

Videos of puppies, kittens, or [cute] babies.

Maybe something about the upcoming Maple Ash show at Last Exit July 3rd.

Movie and book reviews. and album reviews, etc.

More videos of your son[s] playing drums.

[...] I have been really busy lately with the rebranding, new name, communication plan, style guide, new website, and fall series planning at my church. Because of this my blog has suffered. Every once in a while you need a friend to come along and remind you who you are and why you blog to get you going again. My dear Polish friend (and financial advisor pro bono) Justin Garbinski was that friend with his recent comment on my last post. [...]

If only more of the upper class power structure would push back against the regime, but then again they have the most to lose.
