Defiance

I just downloaded and watched Defiance off PSN. This movie snuck through the theaters and got overshadowed by Valkyrie months ago when it was released, proving that the market is only big enough for one WWII themed Nazi movie at a time. Having now seen both, Defiance is clearly the better movie all around.

The movie stars James Bond himself and few other recognizable actors. For starters, the characters actually speak English but with well-produced Eastern European accents, as opposed to the occasional Nazi general with a British accent in Valkyrie. But nevermind the accents, Defiance is a great story. Its a story of survival, revenge, love, brotherhood, and conflict. On several occasions the film brought difficult moral dilemmas to light that made me pause.
